Adopting an animal from Barkin' Barn Animal Rescue is a rewarding experience that brings joy and fulfillment to both you and your new furry friend. By providing a loving home to a rescued animal, you are giving them a second chance at life, filled with the care and affection they deserve. The bond formed with an adopted pet is incredibly special, as they often show immense gratitude and loyalty to their new family. Beyond companionship, adopting also helps reduce the number of homeless animals and supports our mission to rescue and rehabilitate more animals in need. Every adoption story is unique, but each one ends with a happy home and a grateful heart.
The adoption process at Barkin' Barn Animal Rescue is designed to ensure a perfect match between our animals and their new families. To start, you'll fill out an adoption application that helps us understand your lifestyle and preferences. Once your application is reviewed, we'll schedule a meet-and-greet with the animal you're interested in, allowing you to spend time together and see if it's a good fit. If all goes well, a home visit may be arranged to ensure a safe environment for your new pet. After that, you'll finalize the adoption with some paperwork and an adoption fee, which helps cover the costs of care and medical treatment for our animals. Our team is here to support you throughout the process, ensuring a smooth transition for both you and your new companion.
Your rehoming donation covers the cost associated with preparing your future pet for adoption. Each animal we rescue receives a vet check, shots, heartworm test and treatment if necessary, deworming, spay or neuter, and all animals receive flea treatment. Animals are bathed regularly while at the rescue, and breeds who require grooming are also groomed regularly. Payment is accepted via cash, zelle, or credit card.
